How do I get a referral for therapy for my child?
Please visit with your child’s primary care provider (PCP) to discuss your concerns. If your medical provider finds it warranted, a script/referral for physical, occupational, or speech therapy services will be sent to our clinic. Ask for Elevate Pediatrics to be your pediatric therapy provider!
How will I know Elevate has received my referral/script?
It can take up to a week for referrals to be processed and then you will be contacted by our referral specialist. If it has been more than a week, please contact us at 918.341.4343.
How much do services cost?
We take most major insurances including SoonerCare. When a referral is received, our referral specialist will do a courtesy benefits check to determine your coverage and possible responsibility. If you do not have health insurance, we have reasonable cash-pay options.
What can we expect at our first initial visit?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled initial evaluation to fill out paper work. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the minor child during the session. You can expect the session to take approximately one hour. The therapist(s) will administer appropriate testing and you will be called with a treatment plan and given an opportunity to ask questions.
How long does it take to get into Elevate?
Currently, with benefit checks and demand, we are scheduling evaluations 3-4 weeks out.
How long will my child have to attend therapy?
Great question! Every child is different and progresses at different speeds. Your therapist will keep open communication with you during treatment and keep you updated on progress.
How long is a therapy session?
We schedule treatment sessions every half hour. If your child is receiving more than one discipline per day, their treatment time will be longer.
Can I come back to a therapy session with my child?
After the initial evaluation (that you are required to attend), you are welcome to come back unless your child does better in treatment without you. No other children are allowed in the treatment areas unless they are confined to an infant carrier.
