At Elevate Pediatric Therapies, our feeding therapists work together to determine the best treatment plan for your child. We have occupational therapists who are able to address overall sensory issues affecting eating as well as oral defensiveness and speech pathologists who are also able to address oral sensory issues as well as oral strength and coordination needed for taking food off of a spoon, drinking from a cup, biting, chewing and swallowing.
If your child has been diagnosed with dysphagia (swallowing disorder) after a Swallow Study, they may be a candidate for Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to improve swallowing. We have a VitalStim certified speech pathologist able to provide that service.
